| MelissaOdance was founded by dancer/choreographer/artistic director, Melissa O. After years of offering her creative direction to local performing artists and entertainment groups, she decided to extend her services to the entire Central Virginia area.
She currently choreographs for National recording artist NIYA. She is also co-founder of dance and entertainment ensemble, LIPSTICK. Her first production was with LIPSTICK in December; MUSE Cabaret. MUSE was a cabaret style showcase that gave local singers, dancers, poets, filmmakers, and musicians the opportunity to perform and network with other artists.
Her mission is to generate a more profound hip-hop dance scene in the Central Virginia area. As a part of the movement, she offers Contemporary Hip-Hop classes every Tuesday night at Ashland Athletic Club from 7-8:15pm.
