Autumn is a season for balancing light and dark, letting go, and accepting the impermanence of things. It's a time to tune into your own rhythm, go inward and listen to your inner voice. It's also a time of harvest. A time to reap the good seeds we have sown.......and it's a perfect time to camp out on Historic American Beach!!!
Join us as we camp under the moon and stars and welcome in the balance that is the Autumn Equinox. We will tune into ourselves and each other through sunrise yoga, crystal bowl sound healing, libation ceremony, meditation and more. We invite you to learn about Historic American Beach by visiting the museum and taking our walking tour of this historic beachfront community w/ Peri Frances, the great granddaughter of the founder of American Beach.
If you've never camped on the beach you are in for a treat! Bring your tents, camping gear, beach umbrellas, kites and anything else that will make your stay enjoyable. We will be there to assist you with set up. If camping is not your thing, no problem, there are hotel accommodations available on the island or you can look into airbnb and still enjoy the activities.
We offer 2 ticket prices, our All Inclusive Ticket price ($65) includes entry for 1 adult into the American Beach Museum, historic walking tour, healing sound bath, sunrise yoga class, red tent ceremony (for the ladies) and Saturday night dinner provided by Mystic Roots. If you just want to come hang out with us on the beach, our basic ticket price is $25 and this includes entrance for 1 adult into the American Beach Museum and Sunday's Reggae Beach Party.  NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR CHILDREN, just keep in mind there is a small entrance fee into the museum per child. There are restrooms, hot showers and electrical outlets available on site at Burney Park. We are super excited to share in this sacred space with you. See you on the beach!
**The campouts were started as a reclamation project of healing for people of African descent to honor ancestral gifts and heal ancestral wounds. As such they are a designated safe space for our community to do this vital work. Non melanated people may attend the walking tour; and the museum is open every weekend.  Sunday's Reggae on the beach
