A pastor’s retirement is often a bittersweet occasion. Pastor Phil Hoyer, his wife Anne, and family has become a constant, comforting presence to our congregation and community for more than twenty years. His retirement will conclude 154 consecutive years that the Hoyer’s have been serving as pastors in the WELs organization. It all started with his great grandfather, John Hoyer, who moved from Hamburg, Germany in 1865 to Watertown, WI. Join us for our dear pastor’s final sermon as Victory Lutheran Church and Preschool’s good shepherd to celebrate his tenure and send-off with thanks, best wishes, special notes, gifts, photos, and the highest of compliments on Sunday, June 30, 2019 following the 10:30 AM EST commemorative service.
