Coming Out Monologues (COM) returns to Jacksonville for its seventh annual production of our award-winning and incredibly unique storytelling project!
Event Details
As always, COM is community-inspired, community-created and community-led. Each and every year, COM is comprised of all new monologues created by actual community members telling their 'coming out' stories; stories of falling in love, falling out of love, making sense of self, making peace with family, overcoming the struggles in the journey of self-acceptance...all told within the context of LGBTQI lives and experiences. COM is best described as social activism through theatre; creating ripples of change each time we take the stage.
For our seventh anniversary production, we promise you artistic and moving monologues as well as creative staging, with stories that are brought to life right before your eyes with the incredible talent of our WJCT partners. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for your support this year, as well as each year prior. Because of YOU, COM has raised nearly $60,000 for JASMYN and PFLAG while also providing an outlet for stories that might not otherwise have been told.
