Keynote Speaker: Tracy Packiam Alloway (www.tracyalloway.com) is a TEDx speaker and an award-winning Psychologist. In addition to over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, 7 books, and 2 standardized test batteries on the topic of working memory, her research has also been featured on Good Morning America, the Today Show, Forbes, Bloomberg, The Washington Post, and Newsweek, and many others. Her Areas of research include: ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, Motor Dyspraxia,Brain Training, Education, Mental Health, Exercise, Social Media, Social Cognition (Lying),Female Brain at Work.
Jerry Croan, LCSW (Croan Counseling): Jerry’s passion for counseling developed out of a profound experience he had during the desegregation of America. As a college student, he was the first of a small group of African Americans that were escorted on campus at Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina in 1968. Out of the group of 8 African American students that started college at this time, he was the only one to graduate. After this experience he wanted to understand what makes people “tick”, what they are thinking, and why they are thinking that way. Applying these principles to his studies, he received his degree in psychology and delights in helping others get their lives and health back in order. His areas of expertise are: Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD.
Tamara Sorrye,LMHC: As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in North Jacksonville, her primary focus is to provide patient-centered, confidential counseling to individuals in the community which they work and live.
