Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb was taken with the 17th pick in 2020. The Los Angeles Chargers used the 17th pick in 2019 on safety Derwin James. Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke, then with the San Francisco 49ers, used the 17th pick in 2015 on Arik Armstead, who is now in Duval. Kicker Sebastian Janikowski was selected by the Raiders in 2000 with the 17th pick. Last Year: The New England Patriots used the 17th pick in 2023 on corner Christian Gonzalez. Gonzalez played in just four games last season but recorded 1 pick, 1 sack and 17 total tackles.

Gus and John return to the JaguarReport Podcast to discuss who Jacksonville might select in the first round and beyond. Check out Episode 96 of the JaguarReport Podcast, hosted by Gus Logue and John Shipley. You can listen to the JaguarReport Podcast on Megaphone, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and more. John and I discussed what we expect from the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2024 NFL Draft. Then we pulled up PFF’s mock draft simulator together and wrote down (without telling each other) who we thought the Jaguars would select at each slot. We revealed each of our full mocks at the end of our show, as well as our official final predictions for who will become a Jaguar tomorrow night. Here’s where Jacksonville is expected to pick in all seven rounds.
