Sisters of the Sea

We host one of the largest ALL FEMALE surf contests in the nation. Celebrate with us, our 20th Anniversary, Saturday, Sept. 15th, 2018@ the Jacksonville Beach Pier. SOS was founded in July of 1997 when 8 women came together for a surf session in Hanna Park. It was a sunny, glassy, waist high day and everyone had a blast. Since then, SOS has grown steadily. The "Sisters of the Sea" is a group of women who love to surf and give back to others. We encourage and support each other in and out of the water. Many strong friendships and relationships developed as a result of this movement. SOS gathers for a beach clean up once a month, afterwards, if waves permit, a surf session follows. When the time is right: Mainland/Island meetings are held and are always a great time.
