You're invited to join a group of people who love music and love to support education! On May 20, 2018, the James V. Brooks Memorial Scholarship will host it's 5th Annual Power of Music - "Celebrate!"
Event Details
Scholarships are awarded to students in Duval County who study music.
To fully engage the audience in our theme: "Celebrate!" we are creating an atmosphere of fun and excitement, pomp and circumstance, and uplifting music. From Kool and the Gang's "Celebrate" to jazz music, classical, gospel and other songs that have for many years, been the backdrop of Celebrations, our performers will "Wow" the audience. Our emcee is Professional Speaker and Voice Actress, Natalie Mitchell. Natalie is a Jacksonville native, but spent some years in New Orleans soaking up the musical vibes there! She says music has always played a big role in her life.
Enjoy music from talented student musicians from Jacksonville, the Park City Praise Team, the Paxon School for Advanced Studies Drum Line, Share N Seed Academy for Performing Arts and many other performers.
A silent auction, photo booths and door prizes await you - Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy a spring afternoon with family and friends!
