Alewife Industry Beer School is our industry specific education program designed to elevate your beer service knowledge and develop the confidence to recommend, sell, and serve beer with excellence. The program is comprised of four separate classes: Beer Ingredients & Brewing Process, Beer Styles, Proper Storage & Service, and Draft System Basics.
Great beer service starts with fundamentals: beer clean glassware, a proper pour, and beer that hasn’t been ruined by improper storage and handling. In this first class we will cover everything from purchasing and accepting beer, shelf life and storage, appropriate glassware, what we mean by “beer clean”, and how to properly serve both draft and bottled beer.
This class is led by ?Alewife owner and Certified Cicerone® Kelly Pickard.
