When you hear the word "lager" chances are you picture the typical fizzy, yellow, mass-market adjunct lagers of the domestic brewing behemoths. But there's much more to the world of lager than that!
This class will explore the wide range of beers that fall under the lager umbrella. Whether it is the refreshing crispness of Czech lagers and German Pilsners, the toasted malt character of Marzens Dunkels, the campfire smoke of Rauchbier, or the smooth roastiness of a Schwarzbier - lagers come in all colors, flavors, and strengths.
We'll also spend some time diving into world of wheat beer and the charactrersitics that differentiate American, Belgian, and German styles from each other.
Tickets are $25 and includes educational presentation and beer tasting.Participants must be 21+ years of age.
Class is led by Kelly Pickard, Certified Cicerone.
