Elena Øhlander will be presenting a recent collection she has been working on this Summer entitled Flower in the Mirror, Moon on the Water (????).
The event will take place at Crane Ramen while the restaurant is closed to the general public and will allow for an intimate artist talk with a thoughtfully curated menu. The ticket icludes AYCE and two drinks tickets. The bar will be open for purchase of any drinks beyond that.
The collections name, Flower in the Mirror, Moon on the Water, is a metaphor for somthing visable that cannot be touched, something you can feel but cannot be described in words. Elena's work is inspiried by colors that envoke a mood, derived from her intrapersonal dialogue and personal experiences.
The pieces are mixed media. Specifically, sumi (archival ink), acrylic, colored lead, oil pastel and collage on canvas.
